David Melvin

Chair

David joined the HBA Board in 2018 and stepped up to Chair in 2020. He has over 30 years’ experience as a financial services professional in investment banking and private equity. In addition to Chairing HBA he is currently a Director of Pantheon International plc, a FTSE 250 investment company, Senior Adviser to Bixteth Partners, a boutique advisory firm, a member of the Gonville & Caius Investment Committee, and a Principal at 24 Haymarket Private Capital. 

Formerly, David was a Partner at TDR Capital and a investment banker at Merrill Lynch, where he was a managing director for over 10 years. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant. And, like all his colleagues at the company, he is an avid sports fan.
