The King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes is one of Britain's most prestigious open-age flat races.
A Group 1 on turf staged over a mile-and-a-half, the race has seen some of the most talented horses of all time lay a marker down.
11-time Group 1 winner and apple of the British public’s eye, Enable, won the race three times. Whilst the 1975 running, which involved a hard-fought challenge to the finish between Grundy and Bustino, is frequently described as the ‘race of the century’.
Taking place at the esteemed Ascot Racecourse during the height of the British summer, the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stake is an illustrious event, both on and off the track.
