PRODUCTION

HBA Media has a hands-on role in production to offer our broadcast partners flexibility on programming, delivering them live racing in a format that suits each client's needs and schedules best.

Working with our preferred production partner, IMG, we have pioneered the 'Golden Hour' format for premier horse racing.

The 'Golden Hour' is a 60-minute streamlined international product that puts horse racing's most appealing aspects to the fore: the stories, the history, the participants and the race itself.

Crown Jewels Racing - our new broadcast series of the best 18 global races - is presented in this refreshed 'Golden Hour' format, giving our clients a consistent look and feel programme.

HBA is aware that international feeds and production values differ from one country to the next. We can arrange for a bespoke production to assist each broadcaster in tailoring programming for their local market.

GOLDEN HOUR

As a live sport, horse racing offers thrills that few other sports can replicate. A day at the races has something for people of all ages and backgrounds. However, a challenge for broadcasters is to provide continuous value and entertainment in a sport with only a few minutes of live racing action throughout five to seven hours of feed coverage.

HBA Media has pioneered the 'Golden Hour' concept to make racing more attractive to mainstream international broadcasters.

The Golden Hour is action led, with a scene setter and highlights package of the day’s earlier races - all building up to the final 25-minutes dedicated to the main race.

The concept has already proved a huge success with coverage of the Pegasus World Cup, the Saudi Cup with the bespoke Golden Hour, the Breeders’ Cup and the Melbourne Cup.
